Europe’s most diverse music and arts festival is preparing to return in 2026 as Sziget Festival once again transforms Budapest’s Óbuda Island into what it proudly calls The Island of Freedom. Taking place from August 11–15, the event will welcome thousands of visitors from across the world for five days of music, creativity, self-expression, and cultural exchange. Besides headliners like Sombr, Lewis Capaldi and Zara Larsson, it is more than just a music festival. 

Sziget has built its reputation around the values of freedom, inclusivity, and diversity. Since its beginnings, the festival has aimed to create a space where people from different backgrounds, cultures, identities, and communities can come together and celebrate individuality in an open and welcoming environment. The festival campaign continues its message with the longstanding slogan “This is your freedom! Use it!”, encouraging visitors to embrace the unique atmosphere that has made Sziget one of Europe’s most beloved festivals, to musical diversity and genre-crossing discovery.
